question about using phone cards for a long distance call?

i have a friend overseas that id like to call…if i get a phone card for that purpose, how do the fees work? i understand my carrier’s long-distance fees won’t apply assuming i use the card right, but how does it work on the other end? are they charged for long-distance on their side?

just trying to figure it all out before i do anything and run up my bill, haha.

thanks!

What do you know about sending faxes using phone cards?

Is there any difference between sending faxes using a pre-paid phone card to another state (long distance service unavailable) and sending faxes without them (long distance service available)? I still have an HP officejet all in one 4215.
Let’s say your sending a fax from California to Boston.

How do cell phone cards work? Do you have to join a plan to use one? What about compatability with Cingular?

AT&T has discontinued wireless service. We have a Nokia phone that is Cingular compatible. Can I buy a $15 phone card at Walmart and expect it to work with my old number instead of joining another plan?

Can anyone give me information about phone cards in The Netherlands>?

If I could get a website to buy Dutch phone cards that would be GREAT!

When I do a search here they are US phone cards.

We need a phone card that can be used in The Netherlands to call The US

Thank you!
